I'm back!

Hello fellas! I finally decided to use this blog again. Forgive me for being so inconsistent hehe. Anyway, there are a lot of things I want to share with you.

Firstable-- 2 weeks ago I celebrated my 18th birthday and my best friends gave me a surprise which made me feel so happy! When I was having lunch at a small restaurant near my school, my best friends came and sang very loudly. They came toward my table and brought a cupcake for me. They also brought a birthday present for me and they asked me to open it. I wasn't recognized the birthday present at first, but then I recognized that it's a canvas stand! Whoa, I screamed so loud because I've never expected that they'd give that thing to me. At home, my parents and my sister also gave me some birthday presents. My dad gave me a set of watercolour pencils. My mom gave me a set of charcoal pencils and a sketch book. And my sister gave me a CD that I've always wanted to buy: Sondre Lerche-Heartbeat radio CD! I felt extremely happy! It was one of the best days of my life.

Secondable-- I'm going to see my favorite duo (Erlend Oye and Eirik Glambek Boe)'s concert! When Soundshine first announced that they will come to Jakarta, I was like very shocked. On twitter, Aksara announced that they will start selling the ticket on Wednesday. On Wednesday, I asked my friend, Anggy, to buy the ticket for me. And now I feel so relieved because I had purchase the ticket.

Third-- I can't believe that the national exam is coming in about a month!!! Aargh, I feel so stressed! I hope I can pass the exam with a very satisfying score and I hope that I'll be accepted at my dream university (amen).

I'm Impressed, Mr. President!

This morning, I turned on my TV and switched the channel to TV One. There, I saw a news reader reported that President SBY will deliver a speech at Harvard University in a couple of minutes. So, I kept watching because I was curious about what will Mr. President deliver in his speech. Well, the news reader already said that he will give a respond to President Obama's speech about the relationship between Islam and the West, but I still curious. A few moments later, President SBY went to the podium and then he started his speech with "Bismillah..." (somehow I feel proud of him because of this). He added some jokes at the beginning of the speech like: "It's such an honor for me to be here today, at Harvard University, the best university in America. Psst... Please don't tell that to Princeton." said Mr. President, and then the audience laughed. And after that, he continued his speech.

During the speech
President SBY received a nice welcome from Harvard students

The conclusion that I catch from his speech this morning is, that all of us must stop racism in order to make this world a better place. After President SBY closed his speech, the audience stood up and gave him a standing applause. Wow, I must say that it was the best speech that I've ever listened. Seriously, I'm not hyperbolic. I'm telling you the truth. He did it without text! President SBY really impressed me this morning. I feel so proud and lucky to have a great person like him as the president of my beloved country. Keep up your good work, Mr. President!

Heartbeats

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

One night of magic rush
The start - a simple touch
One night to push and scream
And then relief
Ten days of perfect tunes
The colors red and blue
We had a promise made
We were in love

My First Oil Painting

I've been wanting to make an oil painting since a long time ago. But because of so many reasons, I've never got a chance to make one. And at last, today I got a chance to make my first oil painting. So today I went to the bookstore and bought the equipments such as oil paint, canvas and brushes. When I got home, I started my first painting. It was kinda harder than I thought. It's not easy to get the color that I want. I have to mix one color to another. And finally, my first oil painting is done! I'm so happy. I know that it's not good enough, but at least I've tried.

Time Spent With People From the Good Old Days

Yesterday, I spent my time with my junior high school friends. We had break-fast together. It was extremely fun! Maybe it's because we've never spent our time together like that since we graduated. Unfortunately, some of us were not coming. They canceled their plan due to some reasons. Too bad :( But hey, at least we still had fun! We did a lot of fun things yesterday such as sang together, played card & monopoly, watched TV, and the most fun part was playing fireworks! I wish I could spend more time with them.

Falling in Love With His Voice

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Whose voice? Landon Pigg's! OK, I know it's kinda late to write about him now since he's not a new singer anymore. But I don't care, I do love him! So I think it doesn't matter to me to write about him.

Landon Pigg - Based on Wikipedia, this singer was born in Nashville, Tennessee. He has released 4 albums: This is a Pigg (2006), Connect Sets (2006), Live in the Alice Lounge (2007) and Coffee Shop (2008). He's famous for his song, Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop. This song was featured in De Beers commercial and also featured in AT&T telephone commercial. Since that, he became more famous.

Why do I love Landon Pigg? His voice is very very relaxing. Everytime I feel stressed, or messed up, I listened to any of his songs and suddenly I felt better. Do you want a proof? Play this video and I bet you'll feel relax:

So what do you think about him? Do you agree with me?

Are Dreams Really Important For Us?

Everybody have their own dreams in their own lives, including me. I have so many dreams in my life. You can call me a dreamer. But someone said that nothing happens unless first we dream. So, from that sentence we can conclude that everything starts from dreams right? In this post, I'm going to write my opinion about: Are dreams really important for us?

So, here's my opinion. Dreams are very important for us. Dream is the key to happiness, and happiness is the key to success. Dreams are what make people become successful. They make people do great things just to make them come true. Without dreams, we won't have goal, we don't have any plan, and we don't have any direction in life.

For example, do you remember The Wright Brothers? They are the founders of first airplane. They were inspired by flying birds. And their key was one: dream. They were dreaming that someday they can fly.

So the conclusion is, dreams really are important. But remember, action is the key to making them come true. Thanks for reading.
